A bit about us…

Our establishment is located across multiple levels, each with views over the Teifi Estuary, coupled with ample terrace seating and a heated log cabin.

Guests can also arrive by boat through use of our very own mooring!

Over our 11 years here at The Ferry, we’ve seen a significant increase in critical recognition year-on-year.

Notably, we are continually highlighted as one of the best pub outdoor spaces in the country and we’ve maintained award-status for our food over a period of four years.

  • SOUS CHEF

Competitive salary & tips.

Full-time position.

​

We are looking for a new sous chef to join our busy team here at our stunning riverside venue.

​

Our sous chef will be given ample opportunity to build on our reputation as a reliable, award-winning gastropub serving delicious food in a beautiful setting.

Whilst we welcome fresh ideas and ways to develop our current offering, the right candidate will support our head chef in delivering what works here at The Ferry, maintaining our GP and stock control.

​

The role will include, but is not limited to…

  • Working effectively alongside our head chef.

  • Confidently operating our kitchen in the absence of the head chef.

  • Developing our current team of enthusiastic young chefs.

  • Overseeing the delivery and presentation of dishes.

  • Creating menus with our head chef that in-keep with the season and our customer expectations.

  • Negotiating with and ordering from local/national suppliers.

  • Completing all necessary paper work.

  • Ensuring that all health, safety and hygiene measures are adhered to at all times.

  • Maintaining a positive working atmosphere for the whole team.

All relevant Food Safety certifications should have been attained.

Minimum of 2 years kitchen experience desired.

Salary negotiable depending on experience.

  • COMMIS CHEF

​

We are looking for an ambitious individual to join our busy kitchen team here at The Ferry.

​

The job will involve: supporting and maintaining high standards and a clean working environment throughout the kitchen, preparing the kitchen for service, suggesting new menu ideas, completing necessary paper-work and being able to adapt to different duties in the kitchen department.

​

An excellent opportunity to develop alongside an experienced head chef.

​

We are seeking an individual with a hard-working, enthusiastic attitude, who is reliable and is able to work effectively as part of a team.

​

The role is full-time contracted (30+ hours). An all-year-round, permanent position.

Part-time candidates are also welcome to apply.

The candidate must be able to work on evenings and weekends.

 

Ideally, the candidate will have the necessary food hygiene certifications (Level 2).
