OUR STORY

The Ferry Inn has been run as a family business since 2010, by Andy & Liz Baker.

When we took on the premises, considerable re-furbishment was carried out, and we have worked hard to turn the Ferry into a relaxed destination venue in this beautiful location.

Our background is in theatre, television and film, and although we left those careers behind in London back in 2001 to raise our family in St Dogmaels, we feel that our experience of staging theatrical productions has been invaluable to the day to day business of running the Ferry, as we stage-manage the kitchen and the front of house; after all, the show must go on!

Together with our staff team, led by Charlie Wilson, we are passionate about our business and committed to our daily mission to provide the best possible experience for our customers.

ABOUT OUR PUB

The Ferry Inn is a beautiful, historic and welcoming pub/restaurant in the picturesque village of Saint Dogmaels, Pembrokeshire.

The Ferry Inn has been a Public House since 1833, and grew up alongside the ferry service which linked Cardigan town with the village of

St Dogmaels. The ferry service continued running into the 1920s. The beautiful location coupled with our contemporary decor and high quality food and drink make this the ideal place for a relaxing drink or meal.

Although from a first glance at the outside of the premises, the Ferry appears to be a small country pub, first appearances are deceptive, as inside, there is a restaurant area on three levels, with large windows affording magnificent views of the Teifi River Estuary, seating 120 people. Hence we have acquired the Ferry’s nickname ‘the Tardis’!

There are also balconies and large decked areas outside with a private jetty for those wishing to arrive by boat. Another public, all tide jetty and slipway is situated 100m from the pub. We are walker, cyclist, family and dog friendly, and situated at the start of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path, one of the world's most impressive and diverse stretches of coastline. We are one mile from the dog friendly beach at Poppit Sands.
